Te Hapu offers stunning rock formations, indigenous coastal vegetation (including ancient Nikau Palms), diverse bird life, and panoramic vistas. Photographers can be very busy.

Whanganui Inlet (Westhaven), one of New Zealand's largest tidal inlets, is unique for being largely unmodified. It has the protective status of Marine Reserve and Wild Life Management Area. There is a wharf where you can launch your own boat. Bird life includes species such as the Bar-tailed Godwit which migrates from Siberia, White Heron, Blue Heron and Bittern.
Your horse is welcome at Te Hapu. Dressage arena and cross country jumps available around the farm. Please make sure you discuss your horse plans with Zander before you get here!
