Where is TE HAPU?
Te Hapu is situated in the far North West tip of the South Island of New Zealand about thirty kilometers South West of Farewell Spit.
The farm lies between the Tasman Sea and the Kahurangi National Park, is adjacent to Westhaven (or Whanganui) Inlet, and is approximately three hours drive from Nelson (one hour's drive from Collingwood). The last forty minutes is on a gravel road (two wheel drive is fine) which leads you around the scenic Westhaven Inlet, over handbuilt causeways, and through indigenous rainforest. Te Hapu lies at the end of a no-exit branch road.
As the land faces North West, it enjoys a warm sunny climate and is virtually sandfly and mosquito free.
